ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
“This costume piece is a prosthetic arm based on the arm Imperator Furiosa wears in the movie ‘Mad Max Fury Road’. The post apocalyptic setting is inspiring to me because made me think about using materials I normally would not have thought of using.”
DESCRIPTION:
Imperator Furiosa Arm:
A person with blue and purple hair and a rough looking metal and fabric mask stands in front of a concrete brick wall. They wear a prosthetic arm with two fingers and a thumb. One finger ends in a sharp claw. Three overlapping rectangular metal plates form the back of the hand. Various cables, cords and yellow tubing run up the forearm. A spring rest on the forearm’s central shaft. Brown leather straps secure the arm to the shoulder. The elbow is cradled in black leather.
