GUIDELINES FOR MOUNTING AN OPULENT MOBILITY EXHIBIT
1. An Opulent Mobility exhibit must be based on re-imagining mobility, disability, accessibility and assistive technology.
2. Opulent Mobility exhibits must encourage works that address the issues of accessibility, mobility and disability as well as creative solutions and ideas for devices and designs of the future.
3. Condescension, stereotypes or patronizing attitudes toward “disabled” or “handicapped” people have no part in Opulent Mobility exhibits. Our goal is inclusion.
4. Participation in Opulent Mobility exhibits is not limited to “disabled” or “abled” contributors. The goal and the theme of the exhibit are more important than the physical characteristics of any individual artist, inventor, designer or creator.
5. Artists, inventors, universal designers and assistive technology professionals should be actively sought out for inclusion in the exhibit.
6. Opulent Mobility is a competitive juried exhibit and should be judged accordingly. The exhibit must be curated based on artistic merit, original thought and creativity.
7. Opulent Mobility is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Anyone using the name Opulent Mobility must credit A. Laura Brody, the original developer of the exhibit, and reference the website http://www.opulentmobility.com.
8. Share your work! We want to see your exhibit and share it with our audience.
