ABOUT THE ARTIST:

My sculptures are Buddhist meditations on psycho physical states of mind. My sculptures are schizophrenic neurons firing like an atonal brass band. My sculptures are a kinesthetic homecoming dance with a well clad Sabbath bride. My sculptures are an apocalyptic sales call with a brand new science fiction client. Buy early and often.

I am an award winning outsider artist. I weld and join materials to create humorous deconstructions out of everyday objects. I live and work with schizophrenia- it is part and parcel of who I am. My work critiques the fickle dystopia of my mind. So I make jokes.

DESCRIPTION:

The Medicine Kingdom
From top to bottom: antlers sprout from under a turtle shell mounted on a gold disc with a black center edged in white. In the middle is a dark gold metal chute like a mail slot with a narrow rectangular opening on the left that becomes a wide flared opening on the right. Painted on top of the chute is a gold cross with equal sized arms. The chute rests on a hand crank drill. The sculpture’s base is a pale blue disc adorned with upside down gold prescription containers with white lids.
