ABOUT THE ART:
Lavish depicts a strong and vibrant person, full of imagination and possibility who isn’t defined by hidden illnesses, illustrating that mobility should not be a barrier for living a fulfilling life full of different experiences and encouraging us to explore our characteristics that make us unique. We do not have to be defined by our disabilities-we can fearlessly celebrate our inner worlds and personalities, unapologetically.
STATEMENT:
I am a mixed media artist based in Luton, England who experiments with a wide range of materials and techniques including illustration, textiles and sculpture. My current work draws inspiration from geometric and psychedelic art and the patterns found in different cultures whilst merging futuristic elements that are loud and bright. I also battle through hidden illnesses including fibromyalgia, so I find that the process of creating art is very cathartic and allows me to express my feelings on my good days and release my frustrations on the days that I may be struggling.
DESCRIPTION:

Below the neck is a foot-like shape filled with patterns and stripes.
